Viscous formulas or gel cleaners are particularly useful for cleaning vertical surfaces. Gel cleaners also tend to be chosen for applications where the agent will be left to work for an extended period of time.
Gomez Chemical special grade hydroxypropyl methylcellulose and Hydroxyethyl Cellulose are suitable for various personal care products and detergents.
Detergent / Washing Up Liquids
Cleaners and detergents: Use of gomez chemicals cellulose ethers provides viscosity control, cling, foaming, soil anti-redeposition, and emulsion stabilization to household cleaners and detergents.
Liquid and Gelled Soaps: In liquid bathroom soaps and in gelled soaps (“waterless” hand cleaners) gomez cellulose ethers serve as viscosifiers and suspending agents. The surface activity of gomez cellulose ethers allows them to boost the miscibility of organic components of soap formulations.
Toilet Cleaners / WC-Gels
Toilet cleaners are used to remove limescale and further deposits. Most products are offered as gels. WC-gels include acids, surfactants, thickeners and fragrance.
For slightly acidic toilet cleaners, low viscosity MAISI® grades can be used to adjust the consistency to the gel, which allows the product to be left to work for an extended period of time.
